Most of us have probably heard of safety technologies like antilock brakes and electronic stability control.  Increasingly, auto manufacturers are providing technology that, when the driver is not driving safely, take over and correct any mistakes. This technology can be seen as a bridge to the autonomous car which is predicted to eventually become commonplace on roadways.

Last November, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration recommended that all new cars be equipped with technologies that help avoid crashes. This would include, for example, adaptive cruise control and automatic braking.  Automakers are developing systems so that cars can monitor the location of other vehicles to improve safety.  Most Michigan drivers license restoration lawyers would agree that these technologies should increase safety for all on the road.
